VPCO - Consumer Goods - Cigarettes - up 27.73%
Up since a week ago and has been going up and down. Good volume at times too. Possible short when it comes down.
Update - very volatile and ended up trading a few times. See comment below.
GERN - Healthcare - Biotechnology - up 25.56%
Spiked over the weekend. Possible short.
Update - ended up been choppy mostly sideways - still up
AU - Basic Materials - Gold - up 22.37%
Been down trending the last 3 months and now suddenly spiking. Just watching. Possible buy if it breaks out.
Update - gapped down over night and then faded all day.
SAPE - Technology - Business Software & Services - up 42.03%. Huge jump, stock to pricy for me but will watch.
Update - still up high, boring sideways action.
Shorted PLUG today at 5.10 but it's been choppy sideways and now after hours hovering around 5.15. The last couple months this has been in the 4.30 ~ 4.50 range and spiked the last couple days.
Today it went from 4.80 to a high of 5.40 at 1pm CDT and as it faded I shorted at 5.10. It may have a morning spike and as long as I can hold through that it should come down and fade for a good cover on the short. If it spikes much more than today's high of 5.40 though I'll have to cut losses and cover.
Update - I held PLUG from 11/3 to 11/11 with mostly just sideways action. I got tired of watching it and pretty much broke even on cover. Of course the VERY next day 11/12 it tanks!! If I had held just one more day I would have banked. Shoulda woulda coulda!
VPCO turned out to be very active today based on several states voting on the legalization of marijuana. Had a good buy on a breakout and screwed up a few bad trades on it too. At the very end of the day I got a good short in at 3.11, covered half at 2.96 and the other half at 2.88.
